With the announcements of the Olympic hockey rosters upon us and the league rapidly approaching the half-way point of the season, I thought it would be a good time to talk about the San Jose Sharks and their wish list for the second half of the season.
So far the Sharks have enjoyed a great deal of success, despite a M*A*S*H unit of injuries, an influx of rookies, and a tight Pacific Division and Western Conference.
Also, San Jose will be well represented at the winter Olympics. A franchise record eight players have been chosen to trade their teal jersey for the flag of their country. This list includes the following:
Forwards Joe Thornton, Dany Heatley, and Patrick Marleau will play for Canada. They'll be joined by defenseman Dan Boyle.
