The Flyers had eight full days off between their series win over the Devils and Saturday's Game One in Boston. The Bruins had four full days off since polishing off the Sabres on Monday.
In the first period, Boston looked rested and the Flyers seemed rusty. The B's jumped all over Philadelphia, outshooting the orange and black 15-8 in the opening period and jumping out to a 2-0 lead before the game was 13 minutes old.
Steve Begin opened the scoring at 2:39, the first even-strength goal against Brian Boucher in over three games.
Playing From Behind
Philadelphia never held the lead, trailing 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 before sending the game to overtime.
