The Flyers have signed goaltender Sebastien Caron from the Swiss Elite League, according to Philadelphia Daily News beat writer Frank Seravalli.
Caron will join the team at noon on Friday, should he clear waivers, and will get paid $25,906 dollars for the remainder of the season, which is a pro-rated $500,000 dollars for 10 days.
If the Flyers make the playoffs, Caron would be ineligible since he signed after the March 3 trade deadline.
The Flyers will host the Montreal Canadiens tonight in what head coach Peter Laviolette called a "must win."
It will be interesting to see if Laviolette starts Caron over Brian Boucher, who has been way too inconsistent and is coming off a five-goal-against game versus the Islanders.
