Goaltending is the most important part of a team’s playoff success and over the last couple decades, Martin Brodeur has been the best guy between the pipes bar none.
Brodeur has a career .920 save percentage and 1.98 goals against average in the playoffs in 176 games with the Devils, including 23 shutouts.
He owns a ton of hardware including four Vezina trophies, three Stanley Cup rings and has appeared in multiple All-Star games.
When looking around the NHL and choosing a goalie who has it all, Brodeur’s name is on the top of most writers, coaches and fans list.
When it comes to the Flyers, Brodeur has had his problems and is only 11-9 in his last 20 starts against them.
