The Montreal Canadiens did a little better than expected during the last five games. When we look at the opposition the team faced, (Carolina, Washington, Detroit, Columbus, and Pittsburgh) seven points out of a possible 10 is a great harvest.
A couple of players have played very well during this successful string: goaltender Carey Price, Tomas Plekanec, Marc-Andre Bergeron and Matt D'Agostini. With the important number of injured players, those players took the extra work load and delivered. I am giving them all a 7 out of 10.
Only Mike Cammalleri deserves a higher note. The Canadiens' fans are discovering Mike's explosive and accurate shot. After a slow start, he now has 12 goals, leading the team in this department. I am giving him a 9 out of 10.
