We saw leadership epitomized in the San Jose Sharks' comeback victory last night against the playoff-hungry Nashville Predators.
Among all the leaders in the Sharks clubhouse, including the likes of future Hall of Famer Rob Blake and Olympic gold medalists Dan Boyle, Patrick Marleau, Dany Heatley, and Joe Thornton, it was Joe Pavelski who led the way.
Pavelski won a silver medal in the Olympics with Team USA.
Before the Olympics, the name Joe Pavelski was probably widely unknown among hockey fans across North America. But NHL fans are starting to learn what Sharks fans have seen since his first NHL call-up back in 2006-07.
For those who still aren't familiar, Pavelski was drafted in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
