It happened...finally.
The big change promised by the Sharks' general manager Doug Wilson has finally come to fruition.
And this change could not be much bigger than this.
Dany Heatley has been acquired by the San Jose Sharks.
Prior to this transaction, the biggest changes San Jose had made this offseason were relieving Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton of their roles as captains and trading defensemen Christian Ehrhoff and Brad Lukowich to the Vancouver Canucks.
The disgruntled Ottawa forward has pleaded the Senators for a trade since the beginning of the offseason.
Before this soap opera ended, there were a few false alarms to note.
