The verdict is in: Matt Duchene will remain with the Colorado Avalanche for the 2009-2010 season.
After scoring his first goal in a 4-3 comeback win against Detroit, Avalanche management finalized their decision not to send Matt Duchene back to the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League.
This decision comes as no surprise to anyone. Thought it took him eight games to notch his first NHL goal, he was still a solid player for the Avalanche. If you remove him from the equation, the team's 6-1-1 will immediately start to crumble.
