In a game where the Predators seemed to be all over the Oilers to start the game (and with a total of 41 shots), the final score sheet had a different result.
EdmontonÆs backup Jeff Droulin-Deslauries was the third man in last season, and boy was it cramped there. This season, heÆs the only main back up.
In his first start of the season, he proved he could be even better. "He was our star tonight, no question," Oilers coach Pat Quinn said of his goaltender. "Early in the game we had some rough shifts, and he was really sharp and got us a chance to get by the early going."
Nashville had many strong scoring opportunities early, but Deslauries would thwart them all.
