Each year every hockey fan hopes their team can make it to the playoffs, then make a long run and, if possible, win the Stanley Cup.
Sadly, only one team can win it all, which leaves 29 other sets of fans holding out hope that their first round draft pick will change the landscape of their beloved hockey team for the better.
For those who follow the NHL Entry Draft it is all too apparent that, while every player drafted comes with a certain amount of hope, nobody is a sure thing—see players like current Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau and Ottawa Senators ultra-flop Alexandre Daigle.
