Why is it when we talk about a receiver or a running back, you don't hear how they had five playoff appearances, and all the blah blah blah that detracts from what the team actually accomplished?
Eli Manning is not the team, and I for one find the logic of glorifying the QB with what the entire team accomplishes as a joke. In 12 seasons, Peyton Manning, has only won one Super Bowl.
Brett Favre, the legend with 19 years in this league, has only won one.
How many Super Bowl MVP's does Dan Marino have, or wins for that matter? Yet that does not detract from him being one of the greatest of all time.
A Giants' fan today actually had the chutzpah to compare Eli to Favre, the legend who actually has averaged six more TD's per season than Eli.
