Minnesota strides into the postseason as the second seed in the NFC Playoffs. Of all the teams the Vikings needed to count on to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Minnesota got the perfect scenario. Playing for the NFC East crown, the Dallas Cowboys destroyed the flying Philadelphia Eagles at home.
The Dallas victory guaranteed them a home rematch against those same Eagles next week. It also propelled the Minnesota Vikings from the third seed to the second, giving them a much needed first-round bye.
In the last six quarters, the Minnesota Vikings offense has put up an impressive 74 points. With four losses on the road this season and a perfect 8-0 record at home, how crucial was it that Dallas came through against Philadelphia? It was the biggest swing of the day.
