The Washington Redskins made their biggest offseason deal today by signing RB Larry Johnson.
The three-year deal is worth $3.5 million and could reach $12 million.
The Redskins, who had a 4-12 record last season, are looking to turn things around this year with new head coach Mike Shanahan.
Johnson was cut from the Kansas City Chiefs last year and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. He carried the ball 178 times for 581 yards.
Shanahan called Johnson "a physical runner and good addition to the backfield."
