According to multiple sources, including Matt Mosley of ESPN, the New York Giants will hold a work out for former Dallas Cowboys kicker Nick Folk.
Folk, who was 46-of-53 in two season with the Cowboys, saw a major drop-off in production in 2009, as he missed 10 field goals, including a 24-yard attempt against the Saints, that would later lead to his demise in Big D. The former Pro Bowl kicker was cut in December because of his lack of consistency and has yet to sign with another team.
Although the Giants current kicker, Lawrence Tynes, is entering his third year of a five-year deal, New York seems less confident in his ability to perform after his shaky showing last season.
Tynes ranked 14 in the league in field goal percentage at 84.4, which equates to 27-for-32.
