This week the NFL and the Cinncinati Bengals have been struck by tragedy again. A 26-year-old man, a father of three, and an NFL player, was taken in the prime of his life. Now one of his teammates and friends wants to wear his jersey as a tribute to a fallen comrade and the league is grumbling about a fine.
The player in question is Chad Ochocinco, as ever a lightening rod for controversy and admittedly not one of my favorite players. However, in this case I believe he may be the target of a little league prejudice. Does anyone think there would have been the same talk of a fine if it were Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, or any of the leagues other "Good Guys?" I think not.
