Over the last two years the 'Hawks have suffered a multitude of injuries. Both years have decimated our O-Line, quarterbacks, defensive secondary, and our receiving and linebacking corps. It's fair to say we've been injury riddled.
But when did that become an excuse instead of a warning?
Bottom line is: This team is composed of mostly mentors and past-their-prime stars.
This should have been seen last year, however, I cannot blame Ruskell & Co. for going for it this year. It was the last year of his contract, and a lot of our guys seemed to have something left. The young and energetic new coaching staff was supposed to come in and squeeze precious juice out one more time in hopes of a division crown, and one last shot at a super bowl.
