The word "productive" is a little tricky. This is not an article that is strictly fantasy-centric. If it were, you wouldn’t see a quarterback in the top three. No, this is a list of expected productivity. By this, I mean living up to, or exceeding, preseason expectations.
We all expect a lot out of Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson (perhaps too much), but they always seem to live up to the hype. Johnson would have to rank number one in a retroactive 2009 list of the most productive players. Miles Austin would rank high too, as he exceeded everyone’s wildest dreams last year.
