The Miami Dolphins re-signed tight end John Nalbone to the practice squad as expected Tuesday, three days after waiving the rookie to make room for linebacker Matt Roth on the active roster.
Drafted in the fifth round out of Monmouth in 2009, Nalbone spent the first seven games of the regular season inactive as the third tight end behind Anthony Fasano and Joey Haynos.

Analysis
The Dolphins obviously liked something in Nalbone with they selected him in the fifth round this year, but he's clearly not ready to contribute and isn't on the same level as Fasano and Haynos.
In a bit of a surprise, the Dolphins released wide receiver James Robinson from the practice squad, keeping tight end Kory Sperry as the fourth tight end.
