Redskins coach Jim Zorn finally got fired today.
Supposedly, he was informed during a 4 a.m. meeting at Redskins Park, then escorted out by security about 45 minutes later.
Maybe, but itÆs hard to imagine that group of people sitting on a plane together for six hours without one word regarding ZornÆs status after the Redskins blew yet another late fourth-quarter lead in yet another meaningless game for the burgundy and gold.
Zorn was clearly in over his head as a head coach and play-caller. Relieved of his play-calling duties in October, the Redskins continued to struggle, finishing with their worst record in 15 years at 4-12. Since starting the 2008 season at 6-2, ZornÆs Redskins have since been a dismal 6-18.
