Frank Herzog will probably best be remembered as the voice of the Washington Redskins, in fact for those of us who grew up during the 80s and 90s he will always be the voice of the Redskins, even though he hasn't called a game since the 2004 season. This month though Frank, 65, plans on retiring from broadcasting.  He was reported as saying that he has two grandchildren to spoil. Besides being the play-by-play announcer for the Washington Redskins from 1979-2004 he was also the play-by-play announcer for the Washington Bullets during their run for an NBA title in 1978, he has also made stops at the local CBS and ABC news, and more recently as a broadcaster for WTOP Radio.
