With just six picks in a draft that most experts agree to be abnormally deep, the Dallas Cowboys may be tempted to find a way to acquire more draft choices.
But contrary to the popular notion of the team shipping off one of its trio of running backs (Marion Barber, Felix Jones or Tashard Choice), the Cowboys may just try to rekindle the interest in a player that was inquired about early last season.
Martellus Bennett.
If the Cowboys were so inclined, trading Bennett just makes sense.
At just 27-years old, tight end Jason Witten is the incumbent at starter and doesn’t look to be relinquishing that spot for years.
Last year’s sixth round pick, John Phillips, proved to be a surprisingly adept blocker and capable pass catcher last season.
