The Carolina Panthers have finally made a pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
After serving as pedestrians to last night's first round, the Panthers finally got the chance to make a selection on the second day of the most anticipated event in the NFL offseason.
Carolina took the opportunity to pick up perhaps one of the biggest surprises still sitting on their draft board, Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen.
According to the Panthers, he sat atop their own draft board when their turn came at 48th overall, and they were relieved when the Arizona Cardinals picked TCU outside linebacker Daryl Washington with the 47th pick that they traded up to get.
