Wide receiver Braylon Edwards has hit the practice field with the New York Jets a day after being traded by the Cleveland Browns. Wearing a white No. 17 Jets jersey, Edwards caught passes from rookie starter Mark Sanchez and backups Erik Ainge and Kevin OÆConnell in early drills today. Edwards was traded from Cleveland on Wednesday for wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik, and two undisclosed draft choices. The Jets are wasting no time in utilizing the former Browns talent, with coach Rex Ryan saying Edwards will start opposite Jerricho Cotchery in the JetsÆnext game Monday night at Miami.á The team is sure to be anxious to put Edwards on the playing field.
