As the New York Jets prepare for a re-match against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round of the AFC playoffs, they can sleep better knowing they have the versatile Brad Smith on their roster.
Smith, the former Missouri standout taken in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft out of Youngstown, Ohio gives the Jets the kind of versatility in the backfield I've never seen in following the franchise since 1969.
If I had a single criticism of the Jets this season it was the void at quarterback behind rookie Mark Sanchez.
Kellen Clemens proved time and time again to be a complete bust as a second round choice and his one start in Tampa Bay this season, while successful in that he posted the win, proved to be an immobile and uninspired leader with little to offer the team.
