As an unproven rookie, he inked a deal worth $32 million over six years. If he plays well, incentives will take him over $40 million. Not bad at all.
With many of the rookies throughout the NFL still unsigned, chances are that it's very likely to happen again. I refer to it as the Crabtree effect.
Even after contracts are signed. After a season of good play, in the middle of a contract, players often demand more money, or refuse not to play at all.
In light of all the contract disputes in the NFL and many players willing to sit out all season, I had to write this article.
