What are the odds that two quarterbacks who fell into disfavor with their respective teams last season would be fighting for a chance to redeem themselves this season. It's a fairy tale scenario to be sure. But one that is playing out in reality on the gridiron today.
A year ago Vince Young was a young quarterback without the support of his team mates or coach. The Titans had all but given up on him as Kerry Collins guided Tennessee to the AFC's top playoff seed and NFL 's best record.
At about that same time, back in New Jersey, Brett Favre 's right arm was about to desert him. Brett was an unwelcome Green Bay castoff, had never fit in with the Jets' locker room, and his career was finally headed for real retirement.
