Many analysts have predicted the Oakland Raiders to select Jimmy Clausen, the junior quaterback of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, with the 8th overall pick of the 2010 NFL, beginning Thursday, April 22nd.
As Sam Bradford recovers from nagging injuries, he is still the projected top quarterback in the draft. With this in mind, it makes sense that the Raiders would settle for the second or third best projected quaterback.
There are several reasons why the Raiders would make this pick, but if recent history serves as a prediction for the future, the waters may be rough on sailing for the burglars of the open sea.
