With the NFL Draft rapidly approaching, it is time to firm up the final mock drafts.
The general consensus seems to be that the the St Louis Rams, who hold the number one overall pick, are set on selecting Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. That means that the Detroit Lions are on the clock, and who they will pick is anybody's guess at this point.
The popular candidates seem to be Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, and Oklahoma State left tackle Russell Okung.
Until Detroit submits its pick on April 22, the speculation of who might be taken will be endless.
I cannot tell you who the Lions will take, but I can tell you who I believe they must take, and why.
