Every year lots of college players descend on the NFL hoping to make an impact and start a career which could lead to the Hall of Fame and lots of riches.
After each week i will give my recap of the top rookies for the current week and the top rookies for the year.
With this being the first week of the season i will only have one list this week.
TOP ROOKIES:
Mark Sanchez (New York Jets) - The USC Trojan proved why he left school earlier. In his debut Sanchez was 18 of 31 for 272 yards. Sanchez completed 58.1% of his passes and threw one touchdown with one INT. Sanchez also rushed five times for six yards he did fumble once but held possession. The Jets won 24-7 over the Houston Texans.
