Julius Peppers was shipped to Chicago, Jake Delhomme was considered expendable, and Thomas Davis suffered the second serious knee injury of his career. The 2010 First round draft pick was traded to SF to acquire DE Everette Brown, and at this point it looks as if SF was on the good end of that deal. All that being said, the Carolina Panthers came away with a lot of good value picks in the draft, and I think some of these guys are going to be impact players once they work their way in.
