Media pundits were all forecasting that Boston would either choose a shooting guard or a big man. They were taken by surprise with the Bradley pick especially when James Anderson was still on the board.
At 6'6", Anderson is a Ray Allen-type player in that he uses screens very well to get his shots. The Spurs were happy to take him with the 20th pick.
