One question running through to minds of all New Jersey Nets fans is, “Who can the Nets actually beat?” Some might have speculated that the Nets had a legitimate chance against the Sacramento Kings, seeing as how the Kings finished last season with the worst record in the league and only 17 wins. For a few minutes last night there might have been a glimmer of hope for Nets fans, but they still could not deliver a win.
Late in the third quarter, the Nets came within 6 points, but could not close the gap completely. With a little over two minutes left in the game, coach Lawrence Frank instructed his players to start fouling the Kings in hopes that Omri Casspi and Beno Udrih would miss their free throws.
