The Cleveland Cavaliers had a chance to trade for Shaquille O'Neal at the 2009 NBA trade deadline and decided to stand pat. Fast forward to the Eastern Conference Finals, and the Cavs had a huge matchup problem with Orlando's Dwight Howard.
The Cavs finally made the deal for Shaq this past off-season. The other problem they had with Orlando was their size and athletic prowess on the perimeter. The Cavs brought in Jemario Moon and Anthony Parker to fill that need.
The Magic also helped the Cavs with that matchup issue by not re-signing Hedo Turkoglu.
The rumor spreading now is that the Cavs can send Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson to the Phoenix Suns for Amar'e Stoudemire.
This trade would look good for a fantasy roster but it would not make the Cavs any better. The Cavs play great team ...
