I'm not a fan of the Washington Wizards and haven't been since the mid-1990s when the team was led by Michigan Fab Five teammates Chris Webber and Juwan Howard.
However, I'm extremely excited to see the Wizards finally decide to trade away most of their starting lineup for expiring contracts and go into full rebuilding mode.
Within the past week, the Wizards have dealt Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, Brendan Haywood, and DeShawn Stevenson, and acquired Josh Howard, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who will likely be bought out, and Al Thornton among others.á
But management should have decided to blow up the team years ago.
