There has been speculation that the Blazers will be active in the draft this year, considering GM Kevin Pritchard's willingness to do whatever trading it takes to get who he wants.
Today, he began the moves by trading the 44th pick and cash to the Warriors for the 34th pick. Question is, will they use that pick to move up? Do they want to take someone with it?
Although the Blazers are a deep team, they do a few needs. Those on the list including a long-term point guard, backup/insurance policy at center/power forward, and a shooter.
There are a few shooters, like Luke Babbit or Avery Bradley, they could draft if they moved up. But I think they would be better served waiting to sign a shooter, as there are plenty of them in the free agent market.
