As many of you know, the officiating by the replacement refs in the preseason has been atrocious. Three hour games and a record number of foul calls are ruining the flow of NBA games.
Apparently there is good news on the horizon. It appears the always arrogant David Stern met with the referee's union head today. Marc Stein says the referees are planning to vote on a new proposal this Friday. I'm 99% sure we should thank John Canzano, because his article Sunday obviously got the ball rolling in the right direction.
Here's an excerpt from the Stein release:
"A lot is happening behind the scenes," one source said.
"Things look promising," said another source.
