CNBC announced that 2K Sports Vice President of Marketing, Jason Argent, has confirmed that the one and only Michael Jordan will be gracing the cover of the top-selling basketball video game. 2K Sports has also confirmed Jordan will be a playable character in the game. They have also stated the game will "contain many surprises!" While this is a major change from the way 2K has normally chosen its cover model, I cannot help but wonder if this is more of a way to boost sales of the game rather than to pay homage to one of the greatest players ever. 2K usually goes with a player from the team who has won the championship the previous year.
