Today, Allen Iverson, 34, has announced his retirement from the NBA, only 11 days removed from taking "a personal leave" from the Memphis Grizzlies, most likely his last basketball team.
"I would like to announce my plans to retire from the National Basketball Association," Iverson said to Stephen A. Smith, of ESPN and the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I always thought that when I left the game, it would be because I couldn't help my team the way that I was accustomed to.á However, that is not the case."
