Provo wasn’t the only place that gave a big sigh of relief when Jimmer Fredette decided to forgo a shot at the NBA this year and return to BYU for his senior season.
Glens Falls, New York, Jimmer’s home town, can now officially look forward to one of the biggest sporting events in the history of the community. Fredette and the BYU Cougars are scheduled to play the Vermont Catamounts on December 8 at the 6,000 seat Glens Falls Civic Center.
The idea for the game was originally conceived by Glens Falls Mayor Jack Diamond. “We are excited that Jimmer has chosen to come back to finish his senior year and complete his education,” Diamond told Deep Shades of Blue this afternoon. “The only question now is when will tickets go on sale!”
