Brian Scalabrine believes that he could have been the difference maker in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He played just 51 seconds of the game, but showed hustle and determination as soon as he stepped on the court. He agreed to speak to reporters from his home in Boston a day after the Lakers defeated them at the Staples Center.
Reporters were at Scalabrine's door waiting to get his take on the loss. It had rained for a few moments in Boston, but the sun was out and the media was in full spring. How appropriate that a rainbow had formed and set a nice background for his press conference. He was clutching a very small pot of gold before emerging from his home.
There were a few mumbles and comments on how much he looked like a leprechaun.
