Brandon Jennings, as youÆve no doubt heard by now, dropped 55 points on Saturday in a win over the hapless and rudderless Golden State Warriors. His double-nickel was the highest score for a rookie in over 30 years. It broke the team record of 51, set by Kareem in 1970 and was just shy of WiltÆs NBA record of 58.
But it was more then just a record-setting performance. It was a sign that Jennings has arrived and that maybe the hype is to be believed.
