At 6'5" J.R. Giddens is an enticing prospect, he has length, defensive tenacity and of course that sweet shooting stroke.
So why is it he spent most of his time in the D-league for the 2008-09 season?
During the season when Danny graced us with his presence because of various injuries, he could be seen cheering wildly like those Cameron Crazies at Duke.
I only found one photo of him in Celtic Green, his rookie picture. Rumor has it that the Celtics have increased talks in finding a new home for him.
Has Danny given up on him?
By all accounts Giddens did very well in the summer league he played defense and scored. In other words he did things Boston already knew he could do. His problems were more between his ears then because of his ability.
