It’s not everyday the Yankees are outbid by many teams, a few years ago they were outbid by Boston for Daisuke Matsuzaka, but that was the Red Sox and with their nearly $170 million payroll you’d expect them to outbid somebody sometime. The Blue Jays however? Come on!
Here are the details, we first heard of Adeinis Hechavarria about a month ago when rumors surfaced that the Yankees were interested in him. Then just last week it seemed like they were on the verge of signing him, but then on Sunday we heard that because of Derek Jeter blocking him at short, Hechavarria was signing with the Blue Jays.
