The Washington Nationals are not going to win the NL East next year. They probably aren't going to win it the year after that, or anytime in the near future. Almost everyone around baseball accepts the fact the Nats are just not a very good team and are still in the regrouping phase after a rather bumpy 2009 season. So what do the Nationals, baseball's worst team, have going for them? They have a rock-solid foundation at third base in Ryan Zimmerman. They have a decent but overpaid shortstop in Cristian Guzman. They signed hotshot prospect Stephen Strasburg to a monster contract and hope that he will become another face of a franchise in desperate need for some recognition.
