The Mets are off to a horrendous start of the season. The little optimism that once hovered over some Met fans have vanquished within weeks of opening day. Every game is like the same act, pitcher gets smacked around, little to no offense, bullpen does a good job in mop up work but not too good of a job in pressure situations.
Met fans have been through a lot over the years, but this year has the potential to be one of the worse since the early 1990’s. This spells for the Metropolitans to possibly bring the future up a little earlier then the organization had anticipated.
