The Mets lost another tough game last night against the Colorado Rockies, extending their losing streak to four straight.
The optimist in me looks at the loss as a good one, with the Mets fighting back late in the game to eventually tie it in the top of the ninth.
The pessimist in me, who has a much louder voice, says a loss is a loss. It seems like there are going to be plenty of those this season.
The offensive struggles for the Mets are in the spotlight right now.
The team is 11th in the National League with a .244 average and 13th in runs scored with 35 (the Phillies have 64). I’m not sure what they’re hitting with runners in scoring position, but I know it’s awful.
Clearly there is a problem with the lineup.
