With the Hall of Fame election fast approaching, IÆve been meaning to write an article or two on the election, starting with my article before last. IÆve had plenty ideas of what to cover, but I finally decided to try and project the future of the Hall of Fame. I realize just how tricky this can get, with baseballÆs unpredictability.á
As a general introduction, I have to confess I am more of a ôbig-hallö kind of guy. I do have a line drawn for what I think a Hall of Famer should be, but it is not as high as othersÆ. That, coupled with a relentless sense of optimism, may lead to rather rosy predictions. But whereÆs the harm in that?
