No one who had followed the Twins and Tigers all year was surprised at how the last game of the regular season unfolded. The teams had battled back and forth all season long.á The Tigers had led the division since May but the Twins had never fallen far behind.á The Tigers led early.á The Twinsáthenágrabbed hold of the game only to see the Tigers tie the game and send it into extra innings. The game was in itself a microcosm of the season.á While both teams had good young arms to start the season, uh game, both needed to scramble and use their bullpen to get to the end.
