After a well-pitched game from Tim Redding last night, recently maligned closer Francisco Rodriguez put in a stinker of an effort in the ninth inning, throwing 40 pitches and giving up five runs; four coming on a walk-off grand slam.
It's the second walk-off grand slam Rodriguez has given up this season, the first coming off Everth Cabrera. K-Rod is the first pitcher since Lee Smith in 1995 to achieve that dubious distinction.
