A miserable total by any team's standards, and a shock to the heart of a club that was expected to compete for, if not win, its fourth consecutive division title.
Fans are on the verge of taking to the streets, pitch forks in hand and torches raised high.
They want manager Mike Scioscia lynched for being too soft, Brandon Wood exiled to Siberia for striking out too much, and the bullpen told to go play in traffic on the 57 for giving up too many home runs.
All reasonable suggestions.
But hold on a minute here, people. Let's remember who we are and where we stand in the season.
